Aspiring Race Car Driver Chris Fowler to Debut at Madison International Speedway July 17, 2004; Pledges to Donate Ten Percent of Winnings to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

Chris Fowler of Chris Fowler Racing will make his debut race in a stock car on Saturday, July 17, 2004, at the American Speed Association's National Tour during the BFGoodrich Tires 250 at Madison International Speedway.Fowler, a native of Jacksonville, Fla., will race alongside Chad Wood of Madison-based Wood Brothers Racing. Fowler will drive the number 42 car. Fowler's previous racing record includes 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th place finishes in the 2002-03 Skip Barber Formula Dodge Southern Series. Fowler was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis (CF) at six months old, and at age 29, is determined to become a major force in professional racing. CF is a genetic disease that affects approximately 30,000 people in the United States.
A defective gene causes the body to produce abnormally thick, sticky mucus that leads to chronic and life-threatening lung infections and impairs digestion.
Fowler has pledged to donate ten percent of his race winnings to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, headquartered in Bethesda, Md., to support research towards a cure for CF. ??? "I have waited my entire life for this moment, and to finally have the opportunity to race is amazing.

GMC Canyon: A Functional Vehicle


The GMC Canyon has been in the automobile world since the year 2004. It arrived at the auto scene with its relative the Chevrolet Colorado. The GMC is a truck and actually are produced and manufactured in Thailand.

When the GMC Canyon first arrived on the scene in 2004, it was a pretty impressive truck. It held plenty of power along with a very spacious interior that had the consumers and aficionados flocking to see what the truck was all about.

It also was functional for it could transport not only people but cargo as well.

There are two engine choices for this vehicle. There is the standard 2.8 liter Vortec engine with four inline cylinders. This engine could produce some 175 units of power as well as 185 pound feet of torque. As per the optional engine, it is the 3.5 liter Vortec engine with five inline cylinders.

This is the first engine with five cylinders to be used in consumer pickups. It has the capacity to produce 220 horsepower...
